Undoubtedly a statement piece in the Retrospective Collection, the Shield Dining Table features twin, tapered, pedestal legs supporting a rounded, rectangle top crafted from beech and finished in Kelly鈥檚 signature high gloss lacquer, which showcases the subtle grain detail of the wood. The legs, one hand-crafted from a single piece of stainless steel in rose gold, and the other made from beech finished in Kelly鈥檚 signature high gloss lacquer, are set at 90 degrees to one another, creating a unified look.

Symmetry immediately gave the room a more considered look, and the construction gave us confidence from the beginning. The oak finish looks rich without feeling heavy. The finish is smooth while still allowing the wood texture to show. The height works comfortably with standard dining chairs. The size matches the listed measurements and feels appropriate in person. It works beautifully for the way we use the space.

Curves feel especially well judged in person because the finish highlights the texture without looking overly glossy. The oak finish looks rich without feeling heavy. Its lighter wood tone helps the room stay open and relaxed. The surface looks richer in person than it did on screen. The hardware bags could have been labeled more clearly, but setup was still manageable.
