  • Michel Ferrand is a luxury French cabinet maker. The beautiful, inspiring story started in 1976 when Michel started his one-man business. His unique creations quickly resonated in the market, and eventually, Michel and his wife Marie-H茅lene decided to expand their business abroad. In 2003, his son Guillaume entered the company, and soon after, in 2010, their second son Martin joined. Michel Ferrand remains a family-owned business that specializes in creating handmade, custom, French-inspired furniture. The business is thoughtfully managed by Guillaume and Martin, as they continue to carry the same passion for furniture-making as their parents.

Nowadays, this writing desk feels carefully finished and easy to live with. The finish is slightly warmer than it looked online, but it works well in my room. For my needs, the positives easily outweigh that detail.

Weekdays, I like the balanced proportions; it gives the room a more finished look. I use it for emails and paperwork, and the surface still stays comfortable and uncluttered. It feels like a piece I will keep for years.
