  • Michel Ferrand is a luxury French cabinet maker. The beautiful, inspiring story started in 1976 when Michel started his one-man business. His unique creations quickly resonated in the market, and eventually, Michel and his wife Marie-H茅lene decided to expand their business abroad. In 2003, his son Guillaume entered the company, and soon after in 2010, their second son Martin joined. Michel Ferrand remains a family-owned business that specializes in creating handmade, custom, French-inspired furniture. The business is thoughtfully managed by Guillaume and martin, as they continue to carry the same passion for furniture-making as their parents.

Artisanal in person without feeling overdone, the piece looks attractive in daylight and equally good under evening lighting. It gave our hallway the finished look it was missing. The wood has a solid, substantial feel and the finish is very well done. Putting it together was easier than expected and the final result feels very stable. I am extremely pleased with the quality and the overall look.

Dramatic yet easy to live with, the design has the right balance of texture, scale, and simplicity. I am using it by the front door and it makes the whole area feel more pulled together. There was a tiny rub mark on one edge, but it is barely noticeable once styled. The wood tone has a lot of depth and looks richer in person than it did online. The look is timeless and I can see us enjoying it for years.
