The Michael Aram Lighting Collection is a series of unique decorative objects that celebrate Michael's profound appreciation for intricacies found in nature. Drawing from his background as a sculptor, each piece is a hand-crafted interpretation of natural life, infusing an earthly element into any interior space. The Black Iris Collection is inspired by the vitality and beauty of the iris flower. Named after the Greek word for rainbow, the idea of a "black rainbow" feels oxymoronic and mysterious. Michael Aram uses contrasting oxidized and polished brass, as his way of doubting the question of whether there is such a thing as an iris which is truly black in nature. "I am fascinated with the beauty and mystery of black irises. They are symbolic of wisdom, courage, and admiration. Given as gifts, they convey deep sentiments." I am OBSESSED with this little lamp! Its so cute and casts a really cute design when on. Its the perfect size for a place where you want a little extra light but dont have room for a whole lamp. Really really cool, 1010 recommend.

This lamp is really unique and exactly what I was looking for. Its heavy and has a graceful feel to it. It was carefully packaged and took about 5 minutes to assemble. Beware, it is packaged in styrofoam and there was some cleanup involved with that.

Received the goods, I was pleasantly surprised when I unpacked it, the real thing is very textured, the glass is very thick, the gloss is very good, the hanger is also very thick and looks very strong, much better than I imagined, and also better than in the physical store Much more cost-effective.

This is a beautiful small lamp which fits perfectly on a small table! We accidentally broke the one that was on this table and this is a perfect replacement. We were not as fond of the lampshade so we used the one from the broken lamp!

I put one of these in my living room and one in the dining room. I bought the 12 light one for the entty hall, do ut gives a very symmetrical look. They look great together. Absolutely love them, and will probably get matching ones for the kitchen and family room.

This light is the perfect addition to the front door of my house! It offers the modern style I've been looking for. It is well packaged and the lights are of good quality. I like it very much! highly recommended.
