This is a traditional mahogany partners' desk inspired by partners' desks from the early 1800s. It features swirly crotch mahogany doors, drawers, and side panels. Each side has a file drawer on the right and a storage cabinet with an adjustable shelf on the left. Each side has lockable drawers/doors. The drawers are dovetailed. The desk features a mildly distressed and tooled leather top. The hardware is solid brass.

Definitely, I like the careful detailing; it gives the room a more finished look. I like the solid construction, and the layout balances appearance with practical daily use.

Window light definitely brings out the best parts of the finish. I use it for journaling and bills, and the surface still stays comfortable and uncluttered. It feels like a piece I will keep for years.
