The Bough Table is a trestle table constructed of solid American hardwood featuring complex, concealed joints of surprising strength and blackened steel hardware detailing on the cross beam. Wood is hand-rubbed and finished with Kalon Bare Finish, a natural oil/wax finish painstakingly developed to preserve the delicate and luminous beauty of raw wood. The Bough Collection is a study in contrast, exploring the opposition between the traditional and the modern, between delicacy and resilience. The visual tension achieved by mixing heavy slabs of wood with slender, sculptural legs draws upon the functional beauty of Shaker furniture and Japan's Sashimono tradition.
