  • From the Fairmont hotel, San Francisco to the vibrant opulence of the Palacio Quitandinha in the heart of Rio de Janerio, modern luxe was born and came to be known as Hollywood Regency. Channeling the best of that movement鈥檚 heyday, Berkley is a siren鈥檚 call to sophisticated swank and unapologetic joie de vivre. Wrought from highly charactered American walnut with lacquered finishes, antiqued gold leaf, tortoise work, and brass hardware with an antiqued brass finish.

Sensibly, our original expectations were exceeded because the visible grain gives the piece a natural, lived-in character. The proportions make it easy to live with. The finish gives the piece a polished but comfortable look. The warm brown tone pairs nicely with neutral upholstery. The height works comfortably with standard dining chairs. It took two people to position comfortably, but it has been stable since setup.

Elegance really stands out once the piece is in place; the visible grain gives the piece a natural, lived-in character. The proportions make it easy to live with. The walnut color has depth without making the room feel too dark. The finish gives the piece a polished but comfortable look. This purchase made a noticeable difference in the room.
