Symmetry gives the piece a reassuring character because the wood tone adds warmth without making the room feel dark. The design works well for both daily meals and guests. The warm brown tone pairs nicely with neutral upholstery. The scale leaves a comfortable walkway around the seating area. The room feels more welcoming now that there is a clear place to gather. Chair placement took a little experimenting, but we found a comfortable arrangement.

Truly, we appreciated the design more once it was in the room, and the result looked considered rather than overly decorated. The design works well for both daily meals and guests. The grain looks sophisticated and works especially well in evening light. It made an immediate difference in the room.
